Welcome & Namaste
The HALIA Collective is a yoga collective based in Baltimore, MD with a focus on breath, sound healing, and somatic connection.
The name, Halia, derives from many languages including Hawaiian, Malay, and Ukrainian - but the Greek origin of the word connects most to:
~ The vastness of the sea,
~ fluidity,
~ and depth
that we strive to find through our classes.

Claire Galloway
Founder & Instructor
Self-Myofascial Massage & Vinyasa Flow
With a foundation in various styles of dance, Claire discovered that connection to body and breath were key to her development as a singing artist. As she has explored more of the science of somatics and breath's connection to the nervous system, it has become clear that it movement, breath, vocalization, and massage are a medicine for so many of today's challenges and ailments. Her classes are a combination of yoga flows, guided breath work, and self-myofascial massage using some of TuneUp Fitness's products - or your own hands and yoga tools. She is RYT 200, certified in the Role Model Method and Body by Breath through TuneUp Fitness, and the founder of HALIA Collective.

Ally Johannsen
Instructor
Gentle Yoga & Sound Healing
Alexandra "Ally" is a yoga instructor (RYT 200), meditation coach, and sound healer based in Baltimore, MD. Striving to always stay grounded in the traditional roots of these practices, their teaching focuses primarily on the internal experience rather than the physical exertion of the body. They have been practicing yoga and meditation for 8 years, and teaching for 4 years. In 2025, they were certified as a sound healer, and are working to incorporate the power of sound, music, and the human voice into their personal practice and public offerings. Alexandra offers a unique blend of practices and perspectives which are trauma and disability-informed.

Elisheva Pront
Instructor
Breath & Vinyasa Flow
Elisheva has been practicing yoga on a journey of self-discovery and awareness for over a decade. Her teaching and practice centers on Vinyasa yoga and mindfulness. As both a teacher and lifelong student, she values connection and curiosity through shared learning. Elisheva’s classes are designed to be restorative, regulating, and re-energizing, and are also informed by her studies in the Alexander Technique. She enjoys using breathwork, movement, and meditation to guide students back into embodied alignment. Elisheva completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training at Yoga Farm Ithaca.
