Don’t let your Brand make you Bland.  

Within a system that creates strict rules and places singers in boxes of voice type, what to sing, how to dress, what to say, "branding" can feel like accepting all of those outside requirements and just living inside a bland box.  

Tenor Dane Suarez received feedback from an audition early in his career that just said, "looks weird."  His response? "Well...I can show you weirder."  

He began to embrace the things he loved in the way he dressed, adding bling and flowery designs to colorful suits.  

He morphed his standard, white sheet resume into a colorful document that aligned with his physical look and website design.  

And he began to choose his starting arias by what he loved and wanted to sing, instead of what others told him he should start with (there's that word again...).
